How to Play

Every word you type is an attack. The faster and more accurately you type, the harder you hit.

The damage formula

damage = base_attack × wpm_multiplier × combo_multiplier × crit_multiplier

Each multiplier is independent — you can stack high WPM with a long combo and a critical hit to land devastating damage on a single word.

WPM multiplier (typing speed)

Your net WPM (correct characters per 5, normalised to a minute) is divided by the baseline 40 WPM to give your speed multiplier. Slower than 40 WPM: reduced damage. Faster: scaled damage.

  • Multiplier is clamped to [0.5×, 3×].
  • WPM caps at 250 (anti-cheat).
  • Hitting 3× requires sustained 120 WPM clean.

Combo multiplier (accuracy)

Combos reward sustained accuracy. The streak grows when you hit at least 80% accuracy on a word, and the resulting multiplier is 1 + (streak ÷ 50).

Below 80% accuracy the streak doesn't grow. Drop into the 60–69% band and your streak halves. Below 60% it resets to zero. The Rogue class lowers the effective combo divisor, so each correct word grows the multiplier faster.

Critical hits (precision)

Every word rolls for a crit. Your crit chance scales with accuracy, capping at 20% at 100% accuracy. A crit deals 2× damage. Mages and high-Focus builds make crits a reliable damage source rather than a lucky bonus.

Levelling up

Defeating enemies grants XP and gold. The XP curve is polynomial: level n requires floor(100 × n^1.5) XP. Max level is 50. Each level grants 3 stat points to spend across vitality, strength, resilience, focus and swiftness.

Your effective HP / Attack / Defense / Crit / Combo divisor are computed at runtime from your base class stats plus allocated points — read more on the Classes page.
